Introduction

The Pilot Debrief app ("the app", "the service") is operated by Pilot Debrief. The app provides aviation safety information, mission-planning and post-flight debrief tools, and educational content derived from official NTSB data and professional debriefing doctrine. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Non-Affiliation: Pilot Debrief is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) or the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Educational Purpose: All content is provided for educational and aviation safety purposes. Analysis and commentary reflect Pilot Debrief's judgment and do not replace official NTSB reports, findings, or determinations.

Not Operational Advice — the pilot in command decides: The app's planning and debrief tools present risk information based on what you enter. They are not a weather briefing, a dispatch release, a maintenance determination, or a substitute for any preflight action required by regulation. Nothing in the app constitutes legal, operational, or medical advice. You remain solely responsible for every decision to fly.

Limitation of Liability: The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pilot Debrief is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, reliance on, or inability to use the service.

Accounts

You need an account to use planning, debrief, and saved-item features. One account per person; keep your sign-in method secure and tell us if you believe it has been compromised. Accounts created on Mission Ready (risk.pilotdebrief.com) may be carried over to the app together with their plans and debriefs; on first sign-in you will be asked to verify your email address. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

Subscriptions & Billing

Some features require a paid plan. Plans are offered as a free trial, monthly, or annual subscription, and are billed through our payment processor. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your Subscription page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep access until then. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will review it. Lifetime memberships purchased on Mission Ready before the app launched are honored and are not sold to new members. Prices may change; we will give notice before a change affects a renewal.

Your Content

Plans, debriefs, notes, and other material you enter into the app remain yours. You grant Pilot Debrief a licence to store and process that material in order to provide the service to you. Do not enter information you do not have the right to share. We do not publish your personal plans or debriefs.

PILOT DEBRIEF® is a registered trademark. The app's design, original content, and analysis are the property of Pilot Debrief. NTSB data remains in the public domain. Other trademarks, logos, and service marks displayed in the app are the property of their respective owners.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
