On May 25, 2017, about 1300 hours universal coordinated time, a Piper PA-28R-201, United Kingdom registration G-CEOF, impacted the sea near Skipness/Kintyre, Scotland, United Kingdom. The two occupants on-board were fatally injured. The flight departed Oban Airport (EGEO), with an intended destination of Carlisle Airport (EGNC).The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB).
