NTSB narrative

The pilot reported that, during the landing roll, the airplane encountered wind, exited the runway to the left, and the wing struck a runway light. The right wing sustained substantial damage. The pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation. The automated weather observation station located about 7 nautical miles east-northeast of the airport reported that, about 5 minutes before the accident, the wind was from 060° at 7 knots. The airplane landed on runway 13.
