Probable cause

The pilot's failure to maintain directional control of the airplane during the landing roll.

NTSB narrative

The pilot reported that, during the landing roll, the airplane veered to the left. He applied flight control inputs; however, the airplane exited the side of the runway and collided with terrain, resulting in the airplane nosing over and coming to rest inverted. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the aft fuselage, wings, and vertical stabilizer. Postaccident examination of the airplane revealed no evidence of a mechanical failure or malfunction that would have precluded normal operation.

Analysis
