NTSB narrative
The pilot reported that, while performing a straight-in approach to land, she forgot to extend the landing gear and landed the airplane with the landing gear retracted. She stated that during the approach, she did not make her usual verbal callout of “gear/flaps” and did not utilize the airplane’s written checklist. She heard the audible warning horn for the landing gear prior to landing but was unfamiliar with the annunciation at the time. The airplane touched down on the runway with the gear retracted and slid to a stop, resulting in substantial damage to the lower fuselage. The pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
