NTSB narrative

On December 31, 2017, at 1515 local time, a De Havilland DHC-2, VH-NOO, collided with water during takeoff initial climb near Cottage Point, Australia. The airplane was destroyed and the pilot and five passengers were fatally injured. The flight was operated under the pertinent civil regulations of the Government of Australia.The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Australia.
